| June 30, 2004 | Hiawatha Line Opens for Revenue Service Metro Transit announced today that the new train line in Minneapolis/St-Paul, MN opened to the public on June 26, 2004 and carried over 95,000 passengers in the first 2 days of operation. Today was the first day of revenue service and it carried 11,800 passengers. The trains are supplied by Bombardier Transportation. |
